1. The Contractor agrees to provide the Authority with services related to Right-of-Way (ROW) acquisition, relocation assistance, condemnation, real property management, and other real property related services (collectively, “Work”) for the term of this Agreement. A. The location of the services shall be performed in the counties of Tulare and Kern for the Locally Generated Alternative (LGA) and Construction Package 4 (CP-4) segments of the high-speed rail system situated in the Central Valley. B. The geographic scope of work can be extended outside of Tulare and Kern Counties based upon the needs of the Authority, and at its sole discretion. 2. Commencement of Work A. The Contractor shall commence Work under this Agreement on the specified start date provided by the Authority Contract Manager (ACM) following the execution of this Agreement by the State. The ACM shall provide the Contractor with written notification of the start date prior to the Contractor commencing Work under this Agreement. 3. The Contractor may be working with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), California Public Works Board (PWB), California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Department of General Services (DGS), Department of Finance (DOF), partnering agencies, and other consultant teams to complete the Work as directed by the Authority’s Director of Real Property or ACM. 4. Type of Properties A. The inventory of properties impacted by the HSR System includes, but is not limited to, vacant land, agricultural land, single-family and multi-family residential properties, commercial properties, special use properties, railroad properties, and industrial properties. 5. Type of Acquisitions A. Acquisitions services will be needed for both full and partial acquisitions, and for the disposal of surplus land. Partial acquisitions may include, but are not limited to, utility easements, fee acquisitions, access rights, or excess land.
