Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (Action Plan). The County was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program. This grant will support the County’s efforts to develop an Action Plan. The purpose of the Action Plan is to improve roadway safety by significantly reducing roadway fatalities and serious injuries through action plan development and implementation focused on all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and micromobility users. The Action Plan aims to improve roadway safety by developing a comprehensive action plan based on a Safe System Approach and implementing projects and strategies that significantly reduce transportation-related fatalities and serious injury accidents for all road users.
