Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary responsibility of Security Officers will be to regularly patrol each of the identified Vallejo locations to provide the visual presence of a professional security service to deter crime and threats to residents, the properties, equipment and facilities, Report maintenance issues with City Facilities, etc. Activities to discourage incl .ude, but are not limited to: quality of life issues, drug dealing, gang activities, public alcohol consumption, theft and property damage, vandalism, sex trafficking, other unpermitted activities and violations and loud or disruptive noise that may disturb residents, visitors or customers. Officers may also assist as security at select special events and homeless encampment clean ups. Violations and problems shall be reported to the City of Vallejo Police Department, City contract manager, or other City departments as instructed by staff. Security officers shall document interactions or incidents encountered in the field as required, in writing. Security Officers shall represent the City positively, focusing on good customer service and positive interactions with all persons that Security Officers encounter. Security Officers should create a sense of safety and acceptance through their mannerisms, observant behaviors, and polite and friendly demeanors.
