This specification document sets forth the requirements for vending machines. The vending machines, procured by the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) will be installed at the Sierra Conservation Center, Jamestown, Ca The acquired vending machines include the following type(s): • 2 Frozen Food Vending Machine • 2 Cold Food Vending Machine • 1 Bill Breaker Machine The following requirements shall apply to all machine types: 3.1 Vending machines shall be listed by National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA). 3.2 Electrical shall be 110/120 VAC (60Hz) with interior power safety shut-off switch for servicing, industrial standard surge protector and Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protected cord per NEC 2005-Article 422.51. 3.3 Machines shall be front accessible only for loading of product. 3.4 The coin box and bill box shall be removable. 3.5 The currency acceptor shall be of snap-in module with easy access for routine maintenance by visually impaired operators. 3.6 Dimensions shall be less than or equal to 80” in height and the depth shall be less than or equal to 38”.
