The Karuk Tribe seeks proposals for the preparation of traditionally cooked salmon for the Diabetic Conference to be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 located at the Karuk Administration Complex, 64236 Second Avenue, Happy Camp, CA The respondent shall demonstrate the traditional process of cooking salmon. The demonstration shall include preparing and cooking fish traditionally over a fire. The Tribe has a site for cooking fish near the Tribes museum which located across the parking lot from the kitchen where the salmon will be served. The respondent shall ensure the site is prepared to cook fish. Respondents shall have their own supplies such as traditional sticks, pans for transporting salmon to the kitchen, firewood for the cooking pit, knives and other related utensils, tables. The Karuk Tribe will provide the fish. Salmon must be prepared and ready to serve by 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 9th, 2024. Service should be planned for about 100 people.
