The Contractor shall obtain and retire vehicles according to the following requirements: 1) The contractor shall accept for retirement only vehicles approved for retirement by CAP as specified in the most current version of the VRP Operations Manual (Appendix G). 2) The Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws,regulations, codes and permits, and program requirements. Violation is cause for contract termination. 3) Maintain each accepted vehicle in a secure location prior to crushing. The Contractor shall crush the vehicle no later than ten (10) calendar days after accepting the vehicle or ten (10) calendar days after the title has cleared. The Contractor shall establish a crush schedule mutually agreeable with CAP. 4) The Contractor shall notify CAP of any required equipment failures, including but not limited to crusher, shredder, logger or excavator should the failure hinder the ability to process CAP vehicles.
