Task 1: Site Assessment, Key Schedules, and Key & Hardware Procurement. The Contractor: a) shall conduct a site assessment to survey the door hardware for compatibility with Medeco M3 key cylinders and verify quantities needed for a complete key schedule for each building. b) shall create new key schedules using the District’s current Medeco M3 master key hierarchy standard for all buildings included in the scope at SAC (Medeco Registry #A02686). The key schedules should be complete with key codes, bitting, angle information, and serialization. The key schedules will be used as the basis for the cylinder replacements which shall be procured and installed by the contractor. Refer to Attachment F for an example of a new key schedule. a. The District will provide the awarded contractor: i. The existing comprehensive door assessment survey for each building, reference the example in Attachment G ii. The existing legacy (old) key schedules per building, reference the example in Attachment H iii. The department space locations by room number, reference the example in Attachment I c) shall generate key schedules for the District’s review and acceptance. These schedules will be inclusive of all buildings identified in the project with types and quantities of cylinders and quantities of keys per location. d) change keyed existing doorknob hardware and non-compatible Medeco M3 cylindrical levers with compatible Medeco M3 ADA lever handles, refer to Attachment E under “Additional Hardware Upgrades” for more information. e) shall refer to Attachment E for specific quantities of keys to be ordered from the factory for door/cylinder and master keys per building. f) Please note: once keys are received, District Safety and Security (DS&S) will be responsible for key inventory and distribution. Note, Santa Ana College buildings D, I, VL, M, and O, are currently on an old Medeco system and will require replacement with new Medeco M3 cylinders under the new registry. Task # 2 - Access Management System (Simple K). The contractor shall create key schedules in an Excel spreadsheet format for downloading into the District’s key access management system (SimpleK). The District and DS&S will be responsible for uploading the spreadsheet into the SimpleK database. Reference example in Attachment J....
