Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Riverside Purchasing & Fleet Services on behalf of Riverside County Department of Waste Resources (RCDWR) is soliciting quotations for the calibration, preventative maintenance and repair of the department’s vehicle scales as detailed in this RFQ. Please see Exhibit A, Scope of Service and Attachments A, B, C, D, E and F for maps of site locations. RCDWR provides solid waste management services to the public and to commercial organizations. The operation of the scales is a vital part of the Department’s ability to run an effective operation. The RCDWR is responsible for complying with the Department of Food and Agriculture, Division of Measurement Standards. The Scales are used to weigh incoming and outgoing solid waste, trash trucks, trailers and personal vehicles. The scales are required to have regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, repair services and to be maintained within a range established by weights and measurements. All work must be performed in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code (specific known requirements are identified in Sections 12107-12544).
