Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Riverside Purchasing and Fleet Services is requesting quotations for the recycling of scrap metal collected and stockpiled at its Central Purchasing Office in Riverside and various Fleet Services locations located throughout the County. Metal received at these facilities consists largely of scrap metal, steel file cabinets, metal bookcases and shelving, and aluminum tables and chairs. Other scrap metals items, such as small appliances, corrugated sheeting, or other small metals parts and pieces shall be included as part of the resulting award. The awarded contractor will be expected to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to load, remove, and transport scrap metal accepted and stockpiled at all pick up locations listed in Exhibit A, Scope of Service. Any material that is commonly attached to the scrap metal must be taken as well. The awarded contractor will be responsible for the proper disposal/recycling of these associated materials. The awarded contractor must be registered with the State of California as a Certified Appliance Recycler. Evidence of this requirement will be required at the time of contract negotiations.
