AHEC-22907-Q - Design of Campus 15kV Gear Replacement

The Auraria Campus has been approved for $1,263,359 of capital renewal funding for fiscal year 2021/2022 to replace the Campus 15kV Electrical Gear. Current equipment has reached its useful life. The fuse and fault coordination are problematic and do not allow for proper equipment bracing per current design codes. This project will replace the multi-feed line-ups in the Arts Building (AR).

The Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) is seeking an engineering firm to complete a design for replacement of the medium voltage gear that serve the campus owned 15kV distribution and provided power to buildings shared by the three institutions: Community College of Denver (CCD), Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) and University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) located at the Auraria Campus. The selected design team will be asked to deliver the overall project design within three (3) months of award.
