ITB-6512-16 - Dillon Road at Rock Creek Culvert Replacement

Summary of Specifications:
During the flooding of September 2013, the existing 8-foot CMP culvert located under Dillon Road at the crossing of Rock Creek was washed out displacing the culvert downstream and washing out the roadway, which collapsed into the creek. The culvert was undersized and is to be replaced with a three-cell 12-foot x 15-foot concrete box culvert. Two sets of wingwalls are to be placed both upstream and downstream of the proposed culvert. The existing Rock Creek channel is to be realigned and widened to accommodate the new box culvert. The horizontal alignment of Dillon Road is to remain as existing; however, the profile will be raised approximately 3-feet at the highest point above the existing profile to accommodate the new box culvert and to limit overtopping of the roadway during the design flood event. The culvert is to have a raised headwall to mount a bridge rail type guardrail. The adjacent Rock Creek Trail is to be realigned and reprofiled to tie into the raised Dillon Road profile. 

Specifications and a sample contract with FHWA requirements are attached. The successful proposer shall execute the attached requirements as part of any contract with the county, and comply with all FHWA requirements set forth therein.
