Summary of Specifications:
Time is of the essence for the construction of the Town of Jamestown’s (Town) water system and reconstruction of the Town’s roads that were impacted during the September 2013 flood. As of today, 90% of the residents of the Town are displaced and will remain displaced until the Town’s infrastructure is repaired. The Town is pursuing the reconstruction of these critical components to return residents to their homes as quickly as possible. The Town of Jamestown is seeking bids from qualified contractors with demonstrated experience in the rebuilding of roads and the retrofitting of municipal water distribution systems. By means of this Invitation to Bid (BID), the Town is seeking a contractor to construct the repairs to Town roads (FEMA Category B temporary repairs and Category C permanent repairs), and permanent repairs to the water distribution system (FEMA Category F). Specifications and a sample contract with a FEMA specific addendum are attached. The successful proposer shall execute the attached addendum as part of any contract with the county, and comply with all FEMA requirements set forth in that addendum and other applicable FEMA requirements.
