Summary of Specifications:
The Agricultural Resource Division of Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is soliciting bids for the installation of various irrigation infrastructures on the J Family Agricultural Open Space property. This includes a concrete inlet box, a concrete settling structure, and underground pipelines. This system will irrigate approximately 35 acres to assist in the conversion to a market type farm. (Please see attached map) The J Family property is located at 6054 Oxford Road, Longmont Colorado, 80504, parcel #131727000012. This farm was flood or furrow irrigated in the past, with the water source coming from the south west and west side of the property out of the Holland Irrigation Ditch. Contractors are advised all scheduled work will not commence on this project until an Agreement has been accepted by the County and Holland Irrigation Ditch Company.
Upon completion of the project, final inspection and acceptance will be made by Boulder County, in its sole discretion. The County will designate a Project Manager that will be involved in all aspects of the project. The Project completion deadline is scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2013, no exceptions will be made.
The selected contractor will be required to enter into a Continuing Services Contract for the current year, with an option to extend for two additional years, for the installation of irrigation systems including concrete work and pipeline installations in this RFP and future projects of the same discipline. The County reserves the right to enter into Continuing Services Contract with more than one contractor.
