Summary of Specifications:
Open Space cropland to Certified Organic by 2020. At this time we are transitioning or have certified 12% of our Open Space cropland. To meet this goal we are seeking an Organic Crop Consultant to support our efforts to increase our organic acreage and support current and interested farmers as well as county staff.
The selected contractor will be required to enter into a Continuing Services Contract, for the current year with an option to renew, in writing, for up to four (4) additional years. The Contractor acknowledges that a Contract does not constitute a guarantee that Contractor will receive any Projects or Work of any kind under this Contract, if selected, and in such event, Contractor would not receive any payment from County.
Insurance requirements are addressed in the attached Sample Contract and are listed below. All insurance requirements must be received and approved, by the County, prior to work commencing.
BOULDER COUNTY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: General Liability: $1,000,000, Each Occurrence $2,000,000 General Aggregate Automobile Liability: $1,000,000 Each Accident Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability: Statutory Limits
Note that the above insurance amounts are the minimum required for this project. Proof of current insurance must be provided with your proposal in the form of a sample certificate; bids will not be awarded to vendors/contractors that do not meet the minimum insurance requirements for this project.
