7193-20 - Recycling Center (MRF) Equipment Replacement and Expansion

Purpose/Background
 
The Boulder County Public Works Department, Resource Conservation Division, is requesting proposals from qualified and licensed vendors for the removal and replacement of equipment that was installed in or around 2002, as well as, engineering enhanced direct baling functionality into existing container infeed system.

Specifications and a sample contract are included.

Site Visits

The county will accept and schedule all requests for site visits. All site visits must be scheduled before January 8, 2021. Please call Rick Kattar, at 303-589-5864 to schedule appointments.

During onsite visits the guidelines are as follows: 
 
·       Site visit must be optional, and may not be required of vendors.  This eliminates the need for any check in processes. 
·       Nothing can change hands.  No documents, business cards, sign in sheets,  etc. 
·       All participants are required to wear face coverings at all times. 
·       All participants are required to maintain at least 6 feet of physical distancing at all times. 
·       Group sizes must stay within recommended guidelines as issued by the state and local authorities. 
·       Participants will be allowed to take photos or videos of the site in order to review with subs. 
·       In order to keep a level playing field, and in the interest of transparency, no discussion is allowed during onsite visits.  ANYTHING that is discussed during the course of visits must be submitted in writing to the bid.

All inquiries regarding this RFP will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. January 13, 2021. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than January 15, 2021.
