Summary of Specifications:
Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) is accepting bids from qualified and experienced contractors to secure construction services for repair of three breached sections, an area of sediment removal and an area of bank stabilization on the Saint Vrain Creek, east of Lyons, Colorado and extending south of Hygiene, Colorado (PROJECT), caused by the September 2013 flood. Additional work includes removing sediments and woody materials, as needed, to facilitate the repair of the breached sections.
Specifications and a sample contract with a FEMA specific addendum are attached. The successful proposer shall execute the attached addendum as part of any contract with the county, and comply with all FEMA requirements set forth in that addendum. The selected contractor will comply with all state and local licensing requirements, including but not limited to, filing the State of Colorado Statement of Foreign Entity Authority paperwork, if contractor is not a Colorado company.
The selected contractor will comply with all Urban Drainage and Flood Control District specifications and the conditions specified in the Nationwide Permit No. 45 or other required permits issued by US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) while performing stream bank repair activities. The selected contractor will complete all construction aspects of the PROJECT on or before Friday, February 28, 2014.
