Summary of Specifications:
PROJECT OVERVIEW Boulder County (Owner) is seeking proposals for building systems commissioning services for the St. Vrain Project. The project is a single phase, 3-story building to be built at 529 Coffman St. Longmont and will include approximately 75,000 new gross square feet offices and 32,000 square feet of existing 3-story office space. This project is currently in the Design Development document phase.
The owner is pursuing LEED Platinum Certification rating for this building. An Energy and Daylight Modeling Study is in progress for this project and is available for review upon request. The HVAC system being designed for this facility includes direct and indirect evaporative cooling, with heat wheel energy recovery as well as possible supplemental mechanical cooling. Heating is by means of hot water boilers, radiant in-slab heating and VAV with and without heating coils and fan assist. At the existing building a roof top unit is to be replaced with a new direct/indirect evaporative cooling unit, with DX mechanical cooling. Multiple lighting strategies and system will be used. A third party finance solar PV systems is also planned for the project. The commissioning services shall meet the requirements equivalent to those of the LEED NC 2009 EAp1 Fundamental Commissioning Prerequisite, and EAc3 Enhanced Commissioning Credit.
