Summary of Specifications:
The Boulder County Land use Department is seeking quotes from qualified consultants to provide Technical Assistance and Consulting for the County¡¦s Community Wildfire Protection Plan. The awarded contractor will be expected to enter into a continuing services contract to provide the following services on an on-going, as-needed basis through November, 2010, with the option to renew the contract an additional two 1 year periods depending on available funding. Estimated consultant hours to perform the services listed is 60 hours or a total budget of 3,000. There is no guarantee the contractor will receive any more hours than this. Services shall include:
„XProvide advice and answer questions from staff to help quantify forest fuel in select zones of Boulder County „XRe-create predictive classification and regression tree (CART) models for four fuel parameters necessary for fire simulation (surface fuel model, canopy bulk density, canopy base height, and stand height). „XCollect data as specified by staff for analysis „XComplete a detailed forest fuels map for select areas in Boulder County where no information is currently available. „XProvide general advice and knowledge sharing via phone and e-mail as needed.
