Description

Sunrise Engineering (engineer) has been commissioned by the City and County of Broomfield, Colorado (owner) to provide civil engineering design for two irrigation structures (Upper Church and McKay) and a headgate (Upper Church) on Coal Creek. These structures will be used by Broomfield to divert water from Coal Creek and will replace previous structures that were damaged in the 2013 flood. Additionally, Sunrise Engineering has been commissioned to provide construction management for these projects as well as for the maintenance of the McKay Ditch headgate. These repairs are being funded in part by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and have been assigned different project numbers. They are combined in these contract documents and may be bid out to one contractor, but each project will be accounted for and billed according to FEMA’s classification.
