2018-056 - City of Aspen Electrical Standards Update

The project will include, but is not limited to: update the City of Aspen’s electrical standards and technical criteria regarding design and installation of electrical facilities within the City’s electrical distribution system.   To achieve this goal, the following is critical of the consultant:
Understand current standards and requirements, both written and assumed; Develop an electrical standards and specifications specific to the City of Aspen that addresses opportunities and constraints of Aspen’s local electric system; Develop unified design and construction that complement existing City standards including the Engineering Design Standards; Develop a unique and comprehensive set of acceptable standards that meet recent industry standards and best practices; Propose an update to City code language in title 25 to update and reinforce developed standards; Provide standard detail sheets comparable to industry best practices and likeness to local peers
