ITB-2016-042 - Mill Street Permanent Island

Summary of Specifications:
The main scope of this project is the installation of the permanent island. This island will include installation of concrete and steel faced curb as well as an ADA access with truncated domes. The contractor will not need to do any irrigation or plantings, the Parks Department will complete the landscape/irrigation. The contractor will have to supply and install 6 inches of topsoil and stub-up the existing power and irrigation conduits that are under the island layout currently. This project will include Hot Mix Asphalt full depth replacement from approximately 18+50 to 20+10 as depicted on sheets 20 & 21. In addition to the island, the bicycle lane 6” solid white line including the bike/arrow symbols and guide lines will be installed through the entire corridor as depicted on sheets 39-41. Complete restiping of the area from Rio Grande Place to Puppy Smith Street as depicted on sheets 40 & 41 will also be required. 

Construction schedule will be month from start date, currently this is May 2nd - June 3rd with a 100% completion of Monday June 6th. However, project start will be dependent on the City of Aspen Waterline Relocation Project that will start in April and must be finished prior to starting the Permanent Island Project.
