RFP-2013-124 - Recreation Facilities Lighting Retrofit

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Aspen, Colorado is accepting Proposals from qualified lighting firms for improvements and replacement of existing lighting to LED lighting in order to reduce energy consumption and meet City of Aspen Canary Initiatives. The City of Aspen strives to be an environmental leader and to promote environmental stewardship throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and around the globe. In an effort to do our part to reduce the threat of climate change, Aspen’s City Council adopted the City of Aspen’s Canary Action Plan in 2007, which commits to reducing community emissions 30% by 2020 and 80% by 2050, below the 2004 levels. The City of Aspen is seeking a firm who can assist with the identification of illumination levels which will enhance the appearance and provide functional quality to the users of these facilities.
