RFP-2013-103 - Rio Grande Skate Park Expansion Project

Summary of Specifications:
The two part design/build project is for the design and construction of street skate expansion to the existing Rio Grande Skateboard Park, located in central Aspen at Rio Grande Park. The work provided by a qualified skateboard park design/build firm or team will include: conceptual design, schematic design, detail design including construction documents, and turnkey construction for a non-supervised public street skate park. Work also includes preparation of accurate construction cost estimates, project scheduling, preparation of construction documents and specifications, and construction of street skate elements, including but not limited to: rails, ramps, multi-level stairs, banks, pyramids, fun-boxes, ledges, euro gaps, coping, curbs and flat work. The street skate park expansion site encompasses +/- 10,000 square feet and currently has 3,400 existing s.f. colored concrete slab basketball court within the potential skate expansion area. Any necessary demolition, over lot grading and mass excavation work will be provided by the City of Aspen Parks Department
