ITB #18-011 - BJAA Park Construction

The BJAA Park that is located at the corner of North 12th & Longs Peak Street was donated to the City of Brighton on July 11, 1973.  The irrigation system is outdated and inadequate and has caused severe turf issues.  The layout of the park is not user friendly due to the location of many of the amenities.  There is a strong Japanese culture at the park but many of the areas designated to this culture have also deteriorated over time.  The Torii entry arch gate that is located where the park entrance was at one time and it needs to be refurbished.  The planned improvements will make the park more user friendly and it will become a destination park like it once was.
 
Construction to start after July 4th 2018 with the expectation that the fields will be ready for play by April of 2019
