The City completed the rehabilitation of the Bromley/Hishinuma Farm buildings in 2016. In 2017 the City received a donation of a CIRCA 1880’s carriage. The carriage is completely restored. To protect the carriage, it is recommended a new building be constructed to keep the carriage out of the weather and away from animals. The carriage house will also be use for storage of equipment for the operation of the farm.
The Bromley/Hishinuma Farm Carriage House project will include the construction of a two-car carriage house. The carriage house will be located south of the barn, in the unused open area.The City of Brighton is requesting bids for the Construction of a Carriage House at the Bromley/Hishinuma Farm, 1594 Bromley Lane, Brighton, Colorado. The site is on the National Register of Historic Places. All work on the site must adhere to the requirements of History Colorado.
The Carriage House is a 480 sqft, two car garage to be constructed adjacent to the barn to include foundation excavation, a concrete foundation and floor, wood framing, shingle roof, siding, painting, electrical service, and doors and windows. The electrical service is located in the adjacent barn.
