Description

The City of Durango invites qualified individuals or firms to submit proposals for a Professional Construction Manager.

The City of Durango purchased the historic building at 201 East 12th St. and the Big Picture Building at 215 E 12th St from the Durango Fire Protection District in August 2023. The City Council then directed staff to enhance the city's customer service by redesigning and retrofitting the property as a new home to a centrally located Police Department and City Hall. The project would be paid for primarily through the city’s 2005 Half-Cent Sales tax if voters choose to reauthorize the tax in the city’s April 2025 election.

RFPS responses must be completed and prepared in a form that provides an insightful, straightforward, and concise overview of the capabilities of your company. Elaborate proposals beyond that sufficient to present a complete and effective proposal are not necessary or desired. Additional facts and information other than those listed below may be included if it will help to highlight your company’s qualifications and experience.

The vendor proposals are to be submitted via Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System website:
(www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado). Late proposals will not be accepted.

All materials submitted in response to this RFPS shall become the property of the City of Durango and shall be considered a part of the public record of the city except for any proprietary financial information that should be clearly marked as confidential.

Proposals shall not exceed 20 (twenty) pages. Pages should be printed on the front and back of each page, minimum #12 font.
The City reserves the right to negotiate any and all elements of any proposal.
Vendor’s Insurance, the selected vendor (Consultant) must maintain Insurance for the duration of the contract.

The City of Durango is exempt from all local, state and federal taxes.
Proposals shall be filed electronically via: www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado prior to the date and time specified above. Late bids will not be considered.
The City of Durango reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Selected Vendor must have or obtain a current City Business License upon award.
Selected Vendor must complete a W-9 form (Taxpayer Identification No.) upon award.
The City of Durango reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids / proposals received and to accept any portion of the bid / proposal or all items proposed if deemed in the best interest of the City of Durango.

Direct contact with city elected officials or city staff, other than the Purchasing Manager, during the bid/proposal process, may render the bid/proposal non-compliant. If such an infraction is determined, at the Purchasing Manager’s discretion, no further consideration may be given to the bid/proposal.
