Weekly Facilities: 1. Edgewater Municipal Building, 2401 Sheridan Blvd 2. Parking lot at 25th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard 3. Citizens Park, 24th Avenue and Chase Street 4. Memorial Park, 25th Avenue and Chase Street 5. Orum House lawn, 2444 Depew Street 6. Edgewater Heritage Center, 2501 Chase Street 7. City Property, 5505 W. 20th Avenue, 5845 W. 25th Ave, 5901 W. 25th Ave., 2508 Gray St. Biweekly Facilities: 8. Old King Soopers Development, 5505 W. 29th Ave. 9. City Lot, 2445 Pierce St. 10. Drainage way open space, 1800 block between Harlan ST. & Depew St.- Only north side landing above creek indention. 11. Drainage way open space, North side of 2490 Reed St. west to edge of Reed St. Duties: A. Mow and trim all grounds weekly/ Biweekly during the growing season (March – October). B. Aerate at the beginning and at the end of the season only weekly facilities. C. Fertilize weekly facilities turf areas three (3) times, approximately every two (2) months. Lawns will be fertilized with a total of four (4) pounds of actual nitrogen per one-thousand (1000) square feet per year. Individual application rates will be dependent on actual nitrogen being made available to the turf grass. D. Chemical weed control as necessary or as directed by the City. Maintain properties free of weeds throughout growing season. E. Inspect all turf for problems and correct. F. Clean all grounds of litter and trash once a week. Remove and replace trash liners in public trash cans located within the parks once each week. Trash may be placed in City dumpsters. G. Trim hedges. Trim as needed to maintain a tidy appearance. H. Seasonal prune and upkeep of rose bushes. I. Purchase and install seasonal flower arrangements at properties. Facilities 1, 2 and 3. J. Fall clean up of lawn areas will be required to be done after the majority of leaves have fallen. K. Prepare community gardens (16 plots) and flower containers throughout the City for planting (25 planting boxes), no later than mid-April. Contractor will also be responsible for the fall cleanup of community gardens and flower containers, no earlier than mid-September, no later than mid-October. Item #2: IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE: This bid proposal must include pricing for the following duties at each of the below listed locations, where needed. Facilities: 1. Edgewater Municipal Building, 2401 Sheridan Blvd: 17 zones 2. Parking lot at 25th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard: 12 zones 3. Citizens Park, 24th Avenue and Chase Street: 32 zones 4. Memorial Park, 25th Avenue and Chase Street: 5 zones 5. Orum House lawn, 2444 Depew Street: 4 zones 6. Edgewater Heritage Center, 2501 Chase Street: 7 zones Duties: A. Start irrigation system in each facility and trouble shoot any repairs before March 15th. (1-6) B. Repair and replace any issues in systems. On bid form please list your current rate for repairs. All materials needed to repair system will be paid for by City outside of contract price, at whole sale price of material cost. (1-6) C. Develop watering plan for season and submit to City by Mid-March. Plan should include maps of each property and water schedules to be programmed at each location. Changes to schedule will be made throughout season. D. Monitor irrigation system and provide on-site bye-weekly inspection of system. Submit report of each inspection with recommendations for improvements and or repairs. E. Provide emergency service within twelve (12) hours of any leak and or break communicated by the City. All materials needed to fix system will be paid for by the City outside of contract price, at the whole sale price of material cost. F. Winterize irrigation systems no later than mid-October. Winterize includes blowing out lines of each system, removing all backflow preventers, removing all time clock batteries and turning all time clock systems off. G. Provide City with future year repairs and recommendations for irrigation systems by end of July.
