Summary of Specifications:
The objective is to choose a licensed design professional with demonstrated experience of providing architectural services in the State of Colorado in a comprehensive, timely, and efficient manner. Previous experience with historic structures and working with the State Historical Fund of the Colorado Historical Society are important. The ultimate goal of the City is for the design professional to provide professionally stamped architectural drawings “for construction” the City will use for a grant application to the State Historical Fund. The successful design professional will provide the following: • Meet with City staff to review and confirm the current drawings and programming of building and design for completeness. • Incorporate minor changes to the existing plans and drawings as the City would like a small kitchen to be included in the top floor of the building. As the existing drawings have been stamped by a different architect, these changes will be provided on separate drawings. • Provide completed product within a 30-day time frame. • Management and coordination with City building officials, City employees and commissions, state preservation specialists, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors as needed.
