Summary of Specifications:
1. Current Planning Under the general direction of the City Manager, the contractor will provide current planning services including, but not limited to, the following: review for zoning code compliance; review and process commercial and residential development applications through the City’s development review process; coordinate all applications for commercial and residential PUD approval, rezoning, subdivisions, and plats; produce development referral packages in coordination with the City Clerk and City Staff; coordinate and assist with technical development reviews by other City consultants and City Staff; answer questions to public and commercial representatives about zoning codes; coordinate and prepare reports and recommendations for the City Manager, Planning and Zoning Commission and Council; attend all pertinent development review meetings, day and evening, including pre-application, concept review, sketch plan review, Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council, and any special developer work sessions as required by City Staff. 2. Advanced Planning Under the general direction of the City Manager, the contractor will coordinate with City Staff to provide advanced planning services, paying particular attention to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and will coordinate with City Staff to implement the Plan’s goals and objectives. 3. Land Use Code Under the general direction of the City Manager, the contractor will coordinate with City Staff to administer, review, update and implement the City’s Land Use Code. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the City’s Land Use Code and shall serve as the City’s primary arbiter of Land Use Code issues.
