Description

The City of Englewood’s objective is to hire a qualified and competent Contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to resurface the 6,567 sq. ft. 0 depth to 3.6’ leisure pool and the 8,181 sq. ft. 3’ 8” lazy river to include the 1,225 sq. ft. 3’ 6” slide catch pool. The retiling/replacement of approx. 67 sq. ft. of tile in the leisure pool to include the tile band, skimmer entry and nosing on all steps and bench and approx. 331 sq. ft. of tile in the lazy river and slide catch pool to include the tile band, skimmer entry and nosing on all steps is included as part of this Invitation to Bid. The leisure pool currently is a Diamond Brite finish and the lazy river and slide catch is a painted surface. To be considered a qualified & competent contractor you must have a minimum of three job references of a similar aquatic facility setting. The attached statement of qualifications form must be submitted with the bid.

A pre-proposal / site visit (site walk-through) is scheduled for November 29, 2021, at 10:00 am MST. Potential contractors / vendors are to meet for a Q&A (Questions & Answers) session, at the Pirates Cove facility located at 1225 W Belleview Ave., Englewood, Co 80120.
A guided tour of the Pirates Cove facility will be provided after the pre-proposal Q&A session.

Bidding firms are asked to mark envelope "Pirates Cove Leisure Pool and Lazy River Resurfacing” in lower left hand corner with the Bid #ITB-21-060 shown on the front of the envelope in which the bid is submitted. The City of Englewood assumes no responsibility for unmarked envelopes being considered for award. If City offices are closed due to inclement weather, an amendment will be issued with a new date, time and address of the bid opening.
The City of Englewood will receive sealed bids for supplying “Pirates Cove Leisure Pool and Lazy River Resurfacing” per specifications no later than 10:00 A.M. MST, Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Bids will be received at the Englewood Civic Center 3rd Floor Central Cashiering Attention: Procurement Division 1000 Englewood Parkway, Englewood, CO 80110-2373.
Bids will be publicly opened and read out loud at 10:00 A.M. MST in the Public Works Conference Room located on the 3rd floor of the Englewood Civic Center.
BIDDERS MUST SUBMIT PROPOSALS ON THE ATTACHED BID PROPOSAL FORM AND INCLUDE ONE (1) COPY MARKED (COPY).
