Notice is hereby given that the City of Greenwood Village, Colorado (the "City") will receive sealed bids at the Public Works Department, 10001 East Costilla Avenue, Greenwood Village, Colorado 80112-3730, until 2:30 p.m., May 25, 2017, for the 2017 Traffic Signal Cleaning and Painting Project.
The specifications for the 2017 Traffic Signal Cleaning and Painting project are currently available on the Greenwood Village website, www.greenwoodvillage.com/bids.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to make final determination in the event of duplications.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening thereof.
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Colorado, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside of the State. Colorado labor shall be employed to perform the work for which bids are requested herein to the extent of not less than eighty percent (80%) of each type or class of labor in the several classifications of skilled and common labor employed on such work, pursuant to C.R.S. § 8-17-101.
The City requires a certified or cashier's check, or a corporate surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount before the City can accept or consider any bids greater than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00). The bid and the deposit shall be filed with the Public Works Department, securely sealed and endorsed on the outside with a brief statement as to the nature of the item or work for which the bid is provided. Upon a bid award, such bond shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s). In the case of the successful bidder, the bid bond will be returned upon receipt of the required payment and performance bonds, each in the full amount of the contract price. Such bonds will be retained by the City until the two year (2) warranty period has expired. Bids will be opened publicly at 2:31 p.m., May 25, 2017, at the Greenwood Village Public Works Facility, and shall be tabulated by the City.
