The project entails the removal and replacement of the existing elevated boardwalk bridge (Approx. 1,300 sq. ft.) on the North side of Kountze Lake at Belmar Park in Lakewood, Colorado. The project scope involves demolition and removal of existing boardwalk including all decking, handrails, bridge framework and concrete footers. Utilizing provided engineered drawings, a new boardwalk will be constructed (Approx. 1,300 sq. ft.) using helical piers driven into bedrock, including new framework, composite decking, railing and anchors and hardware detailed in provided drawings. The existing boardwalk and footprint of the new boardwalk crosses the Northern section of Kountze Lake, with water depths ranging from 0 – 24 inches depending on the time of year. Historically, the water recedes to a point before the work area during December and January.
Dewatering, site prep and cleanup is included in the project.
