Summary of Specifications:
The City of Lakewood, Colorado, will receive sealed Bids for the construction of Asphalt Rejuvenating Agent Application until 10:00a.m. on March 14, 2013, at the Finance Department Front Desk Lakewood Civic Center, South Building at 480 S. Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80226 which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud in the Finance Conference Room, 1st Floor, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado. Bids received after the above specified date and time of bid opening and Bids not prepared and filed in accordance with the "Instruction to Bidders" will be rejected. Bids are required for the entire work described in the Engineer's Estimate. The estimated quantities of the major items of work are as follows: ITEM DESCRIPTION UNIT OF ESTIMATED MEASURE OUANTITY Asphalt Rejuvenating Agent Application Asphalt Rejuvenating Agent S.Y. 331,562 Gallon 26,525 Contract Documents, including Plans, Special Provisions, and Instructions to Bidders, will be available free of charge on the Rocky Mountain E Purchasing System after February 28, 2013. BID GUARANTY A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Lakewood, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder using a surety acceptable to the City of Lakewood, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with the Bid Proposal. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The City of Lakewood reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formalities, not required by law, in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Lakewood for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
