Summary of Specifications:
The City of Lakewood is seeking legal representation for indigent defendants facing a jail sentence, charged with municipal code violations to include domestic violence charges. The caseload for 2014 is estimated to be approximately 700 cases.

The Lakewood Municipal Court operates two full-time courts and one part-time court. The Court is a court of record handling violations of the Lakewood Municipal Code. Two full-time judges, one part-time judge and seven relief judges, handled 17,849 new summonses; including 1006 juvenile and 3081 adult penal cases, 194 domestic violence cases, 6235 traffic infractions, 4235 traffic offenses, and 2619 parking violations, in 2012. Five full time municipal prosecutors represent the City.
