The work of this project will remove existing deteriorated steel fencing attached to the top of the existing concrete barriers on both sides of the Alamo Avenue and Main Street Bridges and replace it with new fencing. As part of the work, localized repair of spalled, delaminated and unsound concrete will be performed followed by coating of the top and inner face of the existing concrete barriers. New conduit with receptacles will be added to the top of the fence.
The Contractor is advised that the Alamo Ave and Main St bridges are located over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) and the Regional Transportation District (RTD) right-of-way. Extensive coordination of the work will be required with the BNSF and RTD. No work over either the BNSF or RTD will be permitted without their approval.
The work of this project also includes the removal and replacement of a failing fence post at the southwest corner of the Prince Street bridge.
The work of this project also includes maintenance items on the retaining walls Prince Street, Alamo Avenue, Main Street and the wall running along the east side of the Littleton railroad depression. These maintenance items include removing debris, localized backfilling of the walls, removing vegetation growing in the cracks, re-grouting fence posts, painting over graffiti, and replacing a damaged grate.
