Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Lone Tree (hereinafter referred to as “OWNER”), at the office of TST Inc. of Denver, 9222 Teddy Lane, Lone Tree, Colorado 80124 (hereinafter referred to as "ENGINEER”) until 10:00 a.m., local time, April 29, 2014 for City of Lone Tree LINCOLN AVENUE WESTBOUND OVER I-25 IMPROVEMENTS at said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on April 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the office of TST Inc. of Denver, 9222 Teddy Lane, Lone Tree, Colorado 80124. Bids will only be accepted by those Bidders that have been recorded as having attended the pre-bid conference. The Contract provides for the construction of approximately 221 square yards of concrete pavement (fast track) replacement, 367 tons of asphalt pavement, 3,212 square yards of asphalt mat (planning), 62 linear feet of curb and gutter replacement, 43 square yards of concrete sidewalk replacement, 82 linear feet of bridge expansion device replacement, 4,727 square feet of structural concrete coating, striping, and other ancillary construction. Major work times will be limited to weekends. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the ENGINEER at 9222 Teddy Lane, Lone Tree, Colorado 80124 upon payment of $50.00 per set for full size Drawings. No partial sets will be issued. Payments are nonrefundable. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the ENGINEER. Bidding documents shall be available April 8, 2014. Bids will be received on a unit price basis including alternatives as described in the Bidding Documents for any section or combination of sections. The Work is expected to be commenced within fifteen days after the Date of Contract. Substantial Completion of the Work is required as specified in the Bid Form. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for opening Bids.
