Summary of Specifications:
SCOPE: The work performed under this Contract includes the removal and replacement of existing concrete, new construction of miscellaneous concrete items and the installation of concrete items related to the widening of South Francis Street. These items include, but are not limited to, curb walk (Hollywood, Vertical, Mountable & Modified Type C), vertical curb and gutter, 6" thick flatwork, 10" thick flatwork, 10” thick cross pan, driveways, curb ramps, detectable warning surfaces, inlet work, asphalt patching, grading, and traffic control. The CONTRACTOR should anticipate some variation in the width of the curb walk items. Each CONTRACTOR is encouraged to verify the field curb walk width for the locations listed in Appendix A. The CONTRACTOR shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications.
Bid Condition: In addition to submitting a list of contract(s) on hand, the CONTRACTOR shall submit a list of all projects of similar magnitude and scope completed in the last three (3) years. Utilize ATTACHMENT B to document and submit these projects. The City of Longmont is seeking qualified CONTRACTORs with applicable experience comparable to the City of Longmont 2013 Concrete Rehabilitation Project. The CONTRACTOR, project manager, superintendent and foreman should each have satisfactorily completed at least five projects of similar magnitude and scope in an established residential or commercial neighborhood within the last 5 years. It is mandatory that all CONTRACTORs fully complete the Comparable Construction Project Experience form and provide all materials requested herein. Any CONTRACTOR that fails to comply with this requirement could be considered non-responsive.
CONTRACTOR shall submit Subcontractor qualification data per the requirements set forth in “Information and Instructions to Bidders” Section 16.
