SCOPE: Work for this contract shall consist of street surface preparation to include a clean and dry surface free of vegetation and debris, sweeping the prepared surface, furnishing of materials, application of CRS-2P emulsion, and placement of an approved chip seal followed by a fog seal application, and sweeping of any emulsion spills, loose chip, or debris following the material applications, and permanent pavement markings, all as specified herein. The Contractor will supply all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. The total quantities and type of work estimated in the Bid Schedule is representative of the estimated quantities; however, these quantities may be revised by the City to represent actual field conditions at the time of construction.

BID CONDITIONS:
In addition to submitting a list of contract(s) on hand, the Contractor shall submit a list of all projects of similar magnitude and scope completed in the last three (3) years. Utilize ATTACHMENT B to document and submit these projects.
The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience comparable to the City of Longmont 2017 Chip Seal Project. The Contractor must have satisfactorily completed at least three projects of similar scope in established residential and commercial neighborhoods within the last 3 years with each project valued at a minimum of $450,000. Utilize ATTACHMENT D to document and submit these projects.
It is mandatory that all Contractors fully complete the Comparable Construction Project Experience form and provide all materials requested herein. Any Contractor that fails to comply with this requirement may be considered nonresponsive.
Contractor shall submit Subcontractor qualification data per the requirements set forth in “Information and Instructions to Bidders” Section 16.

AWARD:
Funds for this project are not fully appropriated. The award of this contract is subject to the City Council
approval of the appropriation of funds. It is anticipated that the funds will be appropriated within 60 days of the bid opening.
