IMPORTANT NOTE: A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting and a MANDATORY site walk will be held on February 10, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Any bidder wishing to submit a bid for this project must attend both. In addition, the HDD contractor is required to attend both the pre-bid and site visit in order to be considered for this project. . SCOPE: The work consists of removal, repair, and replacement of an approximately 305-foot long siphon damaged in the September 2013 flooding with a 496-foot long dual 24-inch and 12-inch inverted siphon under the St. Vrain Creek. The demolition work includes: removing the old dual 24-inch and 12-inch inverted siphon encased in concrete, removing the collapsed manhole, and removing any remaining pipe where new pipe will be installed. New items to be installed will be: a new dual pipe inverted siphon and new manholes and 450 lineal feet of 30-inch gravity sanitary sewer interceptor. The City will provide sewer bypass pumping for the duration of the project. . Also included in the work is the survey and staking as required for construction, and all miscellaneous work as shown and specified for a complete installation. . The area of work may include removal of flood debris including rubble, trees, and miscellaneous building materials. The project also includes revegetation of the placed fill at the completion of construction. It is strongly recommended that the prospective bidders investigate the site of the work sufficiently to satisfy themselves of the extent and conditions of the project.
