Summary of Specifications:
Contractor shall provide landscape maintenance services in various City areas throughout Longmont as specified in the scope of work. Services include but are not limited to: Mowing and trimming turf areas weekly or as scheduled; aerating, edging and fertilizing, applying pesticides and herbicides as needed, planting, weeding, and fertilizing annual flower displays, weeding, fertilizing, pruning shrubs and perennial areas, tree trimming, raking, roto-tilling, weed control, sprinkler repair, snow removal and litter pick up and removal. This bid consists of several project areas that are pre-determined and also is for projects that are not yet known. The City is looking for monthly pricing on Park’s arterial areas, the Airport, City Water Plants, the Public Works Maintenance Facility, the Water Treatment Plant, and various sites for Water Operations and Code Enforcement. Bidders are encouraged to bid all sites, but can choose to bid only one particular section if their expertise does not meet the other needs. Other sites may be added as needs arise throughout the contract period. The City intends to award to multiple Contractors based on various specialties. The intent is to award all of Section I to one contractor, while Section II may be awarded to more than one contractor. Section III is to be awarded to 2-4 contractors.
