Description

The structural assessment indicates substantial losses in the paper wrapped button-head wire post tensioned (P.T.) system reinforcement, which requires specific expertise in concrete structural repairs to fabricate and install a complex two-way external P.T. reinforcement system using high-strength steel and reinforced self-consolidating concrete (SCC) to anchor P.T. supports. The new P.T. reinforcement is intermixed with supplemental carbon fiber (FRP) reinforcement, reinforced self-consolidating concrete directly underneath the existing slab, and special concrete overlays in exposed regions. Structural repair details are provided in the structural documents.

It is expected that the selected General Contractor (GC) will begin mobilization efforts immediately following contract execution. The project plan calls for construction to start in April 2018 and will be completed in 12 months.

Additional Bidding Instructions

The City will be using a two-phase bid process for the final award. In this first phase, Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), responses will be evaluated by a team from the City for the required minimum mandatory requirements. The second phase, Invitation for Bids (IFB), will consider only bids from those contractors whose SOQ was determined to be acceptable during the first phase.

Responses for the SOQ must be submitted online through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS). The City will not accept hardcopy submittals, or submittals submitted by any other means.

Offeror shall submit and organize all documents in the order as listed in this SOQ. THE COMPLETE SUBMISSION SHALL BE UPLOADED AS ONE FILE.
