Summary of Specifications:
SCOPE: The scope of work to be performed under this contract is the removal and disposal of the existing Montgomery tank control building and vault deck, and construction and placement of a new precast concrete vault building over the vault to house electrical and control elements. The new building shall be precast concrete with a steel framed floor housing upgraded electrical and communication components, heater, dehumidifier, exhaust fan, wash-down pump, sump pump and rectifier. A monorail and manual hoist will be installed in the building to allow for maintenance of the valves in the vault below.
SITE VISIT: The work is located on gated city property and trespassing is not allowed. It is strongly recommended that the prospective bidders investigate the site of the work at the site visit immediately following the pre-bid meeting to satisfy themselves of the extent and conditions of the project.
BID CONDITION: The City of Longmont is seeking qualified Contractors with applicable experience comparable to this project. The Contractor or subcontractors shall have at least 3 years of successful installation experience on projects with precast concrete structures, electrical work and process instrumentation and control systems similar to that required for this project.
