On-Call Construction Services: General Contractor for Pipeline Repair, Rehabilitation, and Access Improvements in Mountainous Terrain

Scope: The City is seeking a General Contractor for pre-construction design review and construction services for slope stabilization, pipe repair, rehabilitation and access improvements in mountainous terrain on an on‐call, as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications: Contractor must demonstrate experience on similar projects which include geostabilization in mountainous terrain, pipe repair or rehabilitation in mountainous terrain, and experience with Construction Manager-General Contractor (CM-GC), progressive design build or similar experience.
Geostabilization Experience

• Top-down construction methods for geostabilization
• Rock and slope scaling
• Installation of slope mesh and appurtenances
• Drilling and grouting of ground anchors in difficult ground (cobbles, alluvium, colluvium)
• Dry mix shotcrete application
• Ground anchor load testing
• Project sites with limited access and working area

• Installation of steel pipe of at least 30-inch diameter, including pipe removal, transport, and replacement, single-lap joint welding, external steel patch welding, structural welding, fabricated steel pipe supports, joint coating and lining, bedding and pipe zone material placement, and compaction.
• Experience in pipe installation in confined alignment corridors with limited access and working areas

• Assist City and Consultants with design development and advancement, costing, constructability, and material availability lead time assessment
