Summary of Specifications:
The City of Longmont Fire Division is seeking qualified contractors from which to purchase structural firefighting gear. The attached specification details design and materials criteria to afford protection to the upper and lower torso, excluding head and hands, against adverse environmental effects during structural firefighting. The protective clothing is not proximity or entry gear and is not designed to be kept in direct contact with flames. All garments, materials and construction will meet or exceed the latest revision of: NFPA Standard 1971-Current Edition, NFPA 1500-Current Edition, and/or OSHA for structural fire fighters protective clothing.
