SCOPE: Work includes all materials, labor, equipment, and related items necessary to complete:
.

Water Line Replacements which consists of approximately 1900 feet of water main in Emery Street; 1300 feet of water main in 2nd Avenue and Collyer Street; 1400 feet in Rothrock Place; 700 feet in Marshall Place / East 5th Avenue alley; and 900 feet of water main in Merideth Lane / Valentine Lane alley.

Spring Gulch #2 Irrigation Conversion which consists of 1200 gpm pump station with enclosure, wet well, concrete slab and electrical service; 36-inch RCP pump station intake line with manholes, intake structure, splitter box and drain pipes; 12-inch PVC pump station discharge pipe; 24-inch ductile iron pipe extension; four HDPE pipes installed by horizontal directional drill; connections to two City-owned irrigation systems; and abandonment of a ground water well; and

Longmont Detention Dam Repair which consists of breaching the existing dam and replacing approximately 110 feet of existing 30-inch steel pipe and encasing the pipe in concrete; rehabilitating the concrete effluent tower and replacing slide gates and miscellaneous metals on the tower; installing a new toe drain with a collection manhole; replacing the dam embankment to existing grades with existing riprap and imported riprap; and revegetation and site work to restore the site.

BID CONDITIONS: The Contractor shall provide evidence that the Contractor is qualified to perform the Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Contractor and the Contractor’s on-site representative who has immediate charge of each part of the Project shall each have satisfactorily completed the same responsibilities in the last 5 years for the following parts of the Project:
i.              Water Line Replacements – At least one water line replacement project with 1000 feet or more of 8-inch or larger water line in residential neighborhoods.
ii.             Spring Gulch #2 Irrigation Conversion – At least 200 feet of 36-inch or larger RCP and at least one 40 square foot or larger concrete structure.
iii.            Longmont Detention Dam Repair – At least one State Engineer’s Office jurisdictional dam of similar size and complexity OR 1 project with 3000 cubic yards or more of CDOT classified embankment construction.
Bidders that fail to meet the qualifications stated above may be considered non-responsive. See Section 00 73 00 – Supplementary Conditions.

AWARD: Funds for this project are not fully appropriated. The award of this contract is subject to the City Council approval of the appropriation of funds. It is anticipated that the funds will be appropriated within 60 days of the bid opening.
