The City of Loveland seeks proposals for Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) is a type of instrument that uses gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify different substances within a liquid sample. The instrument is capable of analyzing and detecting different types of organics at very low concentrations in water samples. This instrument’s main purpose for the City of Loveland will be to analyze the taste and odor compounds: Geosmin and 2-MIB.
