The Scope of the Project will involve the Open-Trench Installation of approximately 1900 LF of 36” PVC Pipe and a 12” connection to an existing in-service Water Main. Coordination with City Agencies and the Fountain Sanitation District will be required. Saddle tapping, Street Cutting, Storm Drain Installation, Pavement Repair and Traffic Management are required.

Copies of the Engineered Plan Set and the Draft Construction Contract will be available on the City of
Fountain RFP Website at www.fountaincolorado.org and on ‘Rocky Mountain Bidnet’ for no charge starting Wednesday April 3rd, 2019.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting at the Council Chambers in City Hall at 11:00 A.M. prevailing local time on Tuesday, April 9th, 2019. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who attended this Pre-Bid Meeting.

Late Bids will not be accepted under any circumstances, and any bids received after the opening shall be deemed unresponsive and returned to the submitting contractor unopened. In addition, Bids sent by telegraphic and/or electronic means will not be accepted. Interested contractors will be expected to allow adequate time for delivery of their Bids either by freight, postal service, or other means. Sole responsibility rests with the contractor to see that their Bid is received by the prescribed deadline provided above. All contractor Bids and copies thereof will be prepared at the submitters expense, and upon submittal to the City, the bids will become a City record and therefore a public record. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the Bids, including the right to reject any and all contractor Bids, in part or in whole, and to select the most responsive and responsible contractor as deemed in the best interest of Fountain.
