25-002 - Failed Gas Boots Repair

The City of Fountain, Colorado, is seeking a contractor to repair the failed gas boots at the Gate 20 Express Gas Station on Fort Carson, Colorado. The selected contractor will be engaged by the City of Fountain to assist in fulfilling the Intergovernmental Support Agreement with Fort Carson. Details are below.

1. Conduct an onsite meeting to discuss safety procedures and review the scope of work.
2. Site Preparation: Barricade the area surrounding the work site.
3. Power Disconnection: Contractor-provided electrician will disconnect power to the dispensers to enable access to the under-dispenser containment (UDC).
4. Dispenser Removal: Contractor technicians will remove one dispenser per day over a total of three days.
5. Entry Boot Removal: Contractor will remove the existing entry boots from each UDC.
6. Materials to be Supplied and Installed: ICON Containment Solutions
   - Thirty (30) ICON Product Entry Boots 
   - Three (3) ICON Vent Entry Boots 
   - Fourteen (14) ICON Electrical Entry Boots 
   - Fifteen (15) ICON Test Reducer Fittings 
   - ICON Sealant and Bonding Solvent 
7. Power Reconnection: Contractor-provided electrician will reconnect power to the dispensers.
8. Equipment Testing: Contractor technicians will evaluate and evaluate the equipment to ensure proper operation. 
9. Hydrostatic Testing: Contractor technicians will conduct hydrostatic testing and provide results to the COR.
10. Site Cleanup: Contractor will remove barricades, clean the work area, and dispose of debris associated with the installation.
