GHM41421 - Ethnographic Study of the Golden Area

The City of Golden is engaging ethnographic consultants and tribal representatives to create an Ethnographic Study of the Golden region. The City was the recipient of a $25,000 Certified Local Government grant from the State Historical Foundation for the project. The consultant hired from this RFP will prepare a written ethnographic study focusing on the Golden, Colorado area. The City of Golden and Golden History Museum & Park will use the information from the completed study to better understand and interpret the traditional cultural landscape, identify places of importance to Native American tribes, understand the context of such places within the larger traditional cultural landscape, assist with the evaluations of preservation eligibility for such places, and assist with the evaluation of effects for future undertakings.
