PW11072023 - Golden Water Treatment Plant Sediment Reduction Evaluation

The City is requesting statements from professional full-service consulting engineering firms to provide planning, engineering, and design services in connection with the feasibility to reduce sediment loading into the Golden Water Treatment Plant. It is anticipated that this project will function to reduce sediment loads into the Water Treatment Plant’s raw water holding ponds and serve two purposes: First, to help pre-filter and mitigate adverse raw water quality related to wildfire and burn area run off, and second, to provide added resiliency during normal operations.
